"10 years after first opening the doors on the now legendary night Sugarbeatclub, Utah Saints are proud to announce their new label, Sugarbeat, and with it, the first release.
Sugarbeatclub was started by Tim Utah and Jez Willis of Utah Saints fame and has grown into one of the UK’s favourite nights. Playing host to the world’s finest DJs ranging from A-trak, Justice and 2many DJs through to Yoda, Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, High Contrast and more.
The night has been a key event in the calendars of cities such as Leeds, Edinburgh, London, Leicester, Ireland as well as hosting stages at many festivals across the UK. Following on from that success, and due to the constant stream of new and exciting music the Utahs come across from DJs and producers, the Sugarbeat Label was an obvious next step.
The first release is expertly delivered by Santero, a Nottingham based DJ and producer. ‘Drop The Bomb’ also features the vocal talents of Matthew (Matty) Hanson aka MC Fusion, front man of UK Hip Hop legends Credit To the Nation, who had chart success in the 1990’s with their Nirvana sampling hit – “Call it What You Want”.
This highly charged club tune is backed with mixes by Deekline and London’s rising stars Tombcrew. Along with the flip cut ‘Eat ‘Em Up’ which is already getting great club support from the likes of Black Noise and Calvertron."
